Gone Too Soon

Like A Comet
Blazing ‘Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon

Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon

Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon

Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon

Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon

Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon

Are you there, Peter Pan?

Why give up your inner child?
Why become so dull and adult?
Is an adult a guaranteed wise?
Is an adult a guaranteed allies?

Hey Peter, why don't you give me some advise...

Carine Brancowitz:

Yes, Carine Brancowitz is the person who is responsible behind all of these beautiful lines.

And oh, she happens to be the wife of Laurent Brancowitz, the guitarist of French band - Phoenix. If you look closer, you’ll see there's a lot of Laurent in her illustrations.

Oh what a cute couple! They’re like my favorite latte. Coffee and milk mixed perfectly in one hot cup. :)

Long Post No See! :D

Hello!

I haven't got the time (yet the bloody mood) to drop a few lines here. So YES, it's a rewind to the past few months, then.

***

On November 2009, me and my art director helloicha were selected to be one of the ten finalists of Daun Muda Award of Citra Pariwara; a competition for young creatives in advertising industry. Well we didn't actually won the competition :P, but yeah, it was one hell of a competition. But I must say, I learned a lot from that energy-sucking moment of my life :).

If there's a proverb that says "there's always a first time for everything", well this is definitely my first time doing a presentation in front of not one or two, but MANY legendary ECDs around Asia (I even forgot to count them).

*speechless* ___ *literally*

we're that tiny no.9 :)

Oh and during that moment, I managed some time to do this little project called:
The 'Stress Me Not' Dispenser
Well it's actually a form of Origami. You know, the one with the long and colorful rectangle paper...
You simply fold it over and over until it becomes a pentagon. And then you just poke the sides a bit and voila! You've made a star!
Well that little devil can be very addictive! Once you've decided to make one, you'll crave to make another one... and another one... and another one... until one day you realized that you have a giant pile of stars in front of your face.
Effortless, distracting, entertaining.
Very recommended for stressed and burdened people ;)

On my early December, I went to Singapore with my in laws. There's nothing much to see in Singapore when you have a thin wallet. But I always enjoy the walking. I've finally got the chance to go to Haji Lane, the 'Bandung version' of Singapore. Lots of cool and super cool stuff there, but again, money talks :). Oh and since we came in December, the Orchard was covered in a seriously massive christmas lights. I know it's global warming and all, but my eyes just couldn't resist a highly imaginative sights like that. :P

2009 outing destination: BALI.
The last time I went to Bali, it was like over than 15 years ago with my family. So yeah, everytime people get back from Bali and share some wild stories, I could only smile and wonder. YES! I'M THAT PATHETIC! Haha!
So I said to myself "One day I will go there! Don't know how, don't know when. But I will!" And thank GOD, I still have the chance to say hello to that island again.
I can't find the perfect words to describe what I felt when I was there. Mind-blowing, breath-taking, heart-breaking, you name it. It's just some journey that I know I won't regret having and won't mind having it repeated.
It was a sentimental journey for me.

For now, my life is just as flat as a pair of shoes. Not that I'm not thankful, but that's just the way it is. My resolution for 2010? It's either getting pregnant, or getting thinner :P. I want more friends and more cherished moments. And yadada yadada... it will go on scrolling down the floor if continued. Hehe.

a Week is More than Enough

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change;

at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready.

The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back.

A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”

~ Paulo Coelho

So They Say

Have you ever been to a situation when your left brain and your right brain doesn't seem to agree on each other, your head is heating up like boiling water? And the more you concentrate, the more you stressed out that you can eat whatever it is your eyes can see?

Well that's exactly how I feel right now.

Oh Well...

Call me a bit late, but I just found out about this ad a few days ago in a random google search. I'm sure there's a lot of great advertising out there. But this definitely go into my favorite list.

I give you a very giant thumb, dear copywriter. I envy you! :)

Day One

Yay! Today is our first fasting day on 2009!

This year's fasting month is a little bit different with the previous years, because now I do it with my husband! *big grin*. Well not much is changing actually, because we still live in our parents' house. So there's no cooking for sahur whatsoever... Just having a weird fact that now he's joining sahur with the rest of the family.

Well I wish you all a great fasting month, my dear friends.

May God bless us all.

Nice to Meet You Boys :)

me and my Boy :)

I used to have a bunny named 'Boy' when I was a little kid. I loved him so much that I remember carrying him everywhere in the house. But unfortunately one day, we forgot to put him inside when it was raining hard. So the next thing I know, he was sick and suddenly disappeared. My family never really told me what happened to him. Some said he was just missing nowhere, some said he was taken and eaten by our house guards (way to go to win a kid's heart -_-') and so on. Maybe he was just dead that day. So I always have this unfinished business with bunnies. They have officially stolen my heart.

So by the way,
I went to my sister's house last week and look what I found? Bunnies! My sister decided to buy not one but three bunnies for his son. Two is Australian and one is Angora. Uuuurgkhkh!!! They're just 2 months old and they are super duper stupiddd! Stupidddd... Stupiddd... Furrballssss!!!

PHOENIX LIVE IN JAKARTA!

This news is not only cheering us: the fans, but also giving people the fact that Phoenix is still going to Jakarta, even after the bombing in J.W. Marriot and Ritz Carlton a few weeks ago. OH YES! THEY ARE NOT AFRAID! :D

The concert took place at bengkel night park, which was immediately loaded by teenagers here and there. My favorite local band NAIF was opening the stage stunningly, continued by the performance of the S.I.G.I.T and RNRM. They were all spectacular, though I think the S.I.G.I.T was dominating the stage waaay to long and RNRM’s sound check was a total waste of time. I stand a bit to the right-front of the stage with one tall boy blocking my view. But hey, we’re here to have fun! It’s more productive to struggle for a perfect spot than to grumble in a cheering crowd. Hehe… Just a theory. :)

Phoenix finally showed up at 10-ish pm and breaking the stage with Lisztomania. Everybody’s cheering, singing and dancing. I can’t complain because I’m one of them :). There are many complains coming from my own friends, telling how they were bothered with the audience who were dancing and singing out loud hysterically. Okay, maybe they’re a bit too hysterical. But I don’t see any reasons to complain at them. I mean, c’mon! This is a concert, for God sake, this is the moment you can actually see your idols on stage, performing their stuffs… just for YOU! This is the place where you can sing out loud and dance through the music you like. If you’re expecting a well mannered and stand-like-a-stone crowd, maybe you should just listen to MP3 at home. Don’t get me wrong, I spend money for this night and I don’t want it to be ruined by some nonsense skeptical person. I just want to enjoy what I think I can enjoy there.

Anyways, all songs from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix were played except Fences... But they played my all time favorites like: If I Ever Feel Better, Funky Squaredance, Rally, Too Young and Run, Run, Run. And they’re also playing Playground Love by AIR, which was sung beautifully by Thomas Mars. 1901 was played at the very end of the show with a spectacular climax. Everybody’s cheering; I even felt the ground quaking.

All in all, Phoenix performance in Jakarta was beyond great! They’re a group of humble people who went down the stage in the middle of the show to greet their fans. And Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is one of the greatest albums I’ve ever heard. I’m not really a music maniac, but yet I can easily enjoy their music and sing along quite fluently all through the album.

Salute phoenix!

'til we meet again ;)

My dad is sick :(

Well I have to admit, my dad is not the healthiest person in the world. From heart disease, stroke, diabetes to high tension, you name it, he's going all through that stuffs. It's a sad fact, I know. But what can I do :(

So this morning, when I just sat on my office chair and have a little chit chat with my friend; my sister called and said dad fell off at the office. So nothing much to say, I jump up and joined her to the hospital he was taken to. It was like the longest journey I have ever had. Too much thoughts crossed my mind. I cannot bear to continue my own silent words of "what happened...", "what if...". I took a lot of effort to hold my tears up and trying hard to think only the positive ones.

I arrived at the ER of Omni Medical Care in Pulo Mas. The hospital that we thought was named 'OngkoMulyo' are now changing names into the most avoided hospital in Jakarta, due to their bad reputation regarding Ibu Prita's case. So of course we double panicked.

Dad was lying there with eyes closed. I thought he was unconscious, but thank God, turned out he was just closing his eyes. His colleagues was there, they said he almost fell of from his chair (a friend caught him) and his blood tension was at 70/40 the moment he was taken to the ER. Horror. I don't even have the heart to imagine such things. But again, thanks to his good friends who act relatively fast, my dad is at least saved from the bigger horror that might happened that day. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Thank God.

So now my father is relatively stable. His blood tension is still below the rate. But supposedly an 'intensive care unit' would do him good. We're planning to move him to RSPI as soon as he transportable tomorrow. No offense, but this hospital is just way too far from our houses and offices. And all of my dad's record are kept in RSPI, so we thought it would be our best decision to do so.

And for now...
I only hope for my dad's total recovery.

Love me love them.

You get all
But why can't you give more?
Like come knocking on their door
Trying to torture me more?

Big love they carry
Never complain and envy
Just trying to love you most dearly
Hoping to be loved equally

Make a good point
But please don't disappoint

Just love me, love them.
